California Health Committee to hear AB41 on April 28
A state-version of ACA Section 2706 now moving through state Assembly committees. RESIDENTS! A Voter Action app is now available courtesy of the California Chiropractic Assn.
Californians take note! Thanks to the California Chiropractic Assn. for providing a link to its Voter Action app, where residents can send e-letter to state reps encouraging their support of state bill AB 41. The link and the prepared letter — which you can edit — apply to ALL state-licensed provider.
AB 41 is another state version of Section 2706 of the ACA (as in Hawaii and New Mexico) that forbids insurers from excluding from their health plans integrative healthcare providers who are licensed in California. Insurance coverage for service like acupuncture can be sporadic; this bill follows the full intention of 2706 to cover appropriate services of all licensed integrative providers.
