Dean Ornish: Lifestyle Medicine at Davos

“If it is reimbursable, it’s sustainable”

So observed Dean Ornish, singing CoverMyCare’s tune this week at the World Economic Forum in Davos Switzerland when interviewed by TIME magazine editor Nancy Gibbs.

She asked why the extraordinary results of his lifestyle treatments for diabetes and heart disease have not led to rapid and wide adoption. Where many of the programs were in place, he noted, “the sites closed down because of lack of reimbursement.”
